An extensive before and after school ‘ Opportunities Unlimited ’ programme runs every day

Students spend 25 hours per week actually being taught - the Secretary of State suggests in a guide to good practice that a minimum of 24 hours teaching should take place. Our 25 hours excludes registration time.

LUNCH TIME

The school has a cafeteria at which meals may be purchased. There is a wide variety of food available from several serving points. Our aim is to provide choice, quality and healthy options for pupils. Space is provided for those who wish to bring sandwiches.

If parents wish to apply for free school meals (or any other grants), they should contact the Education Welfare Officer, Somerset House, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 1UB, telephone: 01275 888305.

It is assumed that all pupils will stay on site at lunchtime and that they are not allowed to leave the premises without the permission of their Year Leader. Any exceptions to this are considered on receipt of a letter of application from parents.
